I don't even know how or why, but my nose is significantly smaller on one side than on the other. Perhaps its from hitting it on a metal bar as a child, and never having it looked at. I feel like its stunted its growth as well, as it still has the same shape as a child's/infant's nose. I'm not too unhappy with the shape, but I definitely want that smaller side fixed to match the other side....... can that even be done?? Someone please help me :(
Answer: Nose asymmetry I certainly see what you mean in your photos. What can be done depends on some of the other features of your nose, which are not shown in the one photo. Asymmetry is one of the more difficult challenges in rhinoplasty. It may not be worth trying to correct in your case, but consultation with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon will help determine your options.

Answer: Best Treatment for Asymmetric Nose? Filler or Rhinoplasty Hi Why,The nose often reflects the face. It is normal to have some facial asymmetry. In your case, after a thorough examination by a rhinoplasty expert, the best course of action would be determined. That may involve something as minor as filler injections or more involved such as rhinoplasty. Make sure to choose your rhinoplasty surgeon most carefully based on their experience, skill, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Michael Persky, MD, FACSEncino, CA

Answer: Asymmetry Hi whymee. Facial asymmetry is the norm, not the exception. Most people have one side of the face which is smaller or slightly underdeveloped as you are describing. Some of these asymmetries can be addressed with surgery or fillers. Overal though you seem to have a very attractive nose at least from the view provided. Sometimes the soft tissue base on the lower side (your left) can be plumped with filler which may help that aspect specifically. Good luck!

Answer: Uneven nose Uneven sides of the nose is a common phenomenon, it could be genetic or related to your injury. Either way, since the nose has two separate sides, each side can be manipulated individually to get you the look you want. It would be nice to see your entire nose to completely appreciate any/all asymmetries. I encourage you to get a consultation so that your concerns can be accurately addressed.
