Hello, I have noticed that my right and left eye are very asymmetrical from each other. I am wondering if this is an eyeball problem or an eyelid problem. Ever since high school I have had a history of having heavy, droopy, and often twitching eyelids in one of my eyes. What procedures can I do to get rounder, more symmetrical eyes
Answer: Eyelid Surgery Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have xtra saggy skin above your eyes and your eye corners are downward. For more fresh, upward, symmetrical looking I suggest you endoscopic brow lift and upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Please keep in mind that %100 symmetry is not achievable in any case. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Best Regards!

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Blepharoplasty/fat transfer Hello ! An upper blepharoplasty or eyelid lift surgery is done to repair sagging or drooping upper eyelids. By removing excess tissue from the corners, blepharoplasty can enhance the appearance of the eyes, giving them a more prominent and larger look. Fat can be taken away or added depending on patients. Combined with fat transfer to your face with the right technique and the right surgeon (an expert in aesthetics), I believe these procedures would benefit you. Of course, an “in person” exam is necessary. I hope this helps, Best of luck ! Randal Haworth

Answer: You have ptosis Thank you for your question and photos. Your primary problem is upper eyelid ptosis. You also have very prominent bony brows. A ptosis repair might enhance your appearance. The twitching you describe requires more evaluation before any surgery is contemplated. An upper lid blepharoplasty with skin and fat removal really won't help you significantly and may worsen your appearance. You need to make an appointment with a fellowship trained ASOPRS affiliated Oculoplastic surgeon for an in person exam and consultation. Simple in office testing can help you to see what may be achieved with ptosis repair The twitching definitely cannot be adequately evaluated without a detailed history and physical exam. Best of luck
