I recently reviewed my medical records and observed the the practitioner who did my injectibles indicated the same Lot #/Expiration number for fillers that were injected two years apart. I am asking this question as I want to confirm that I was not injected with fillers that had not expired since I had complications with these fillers. Thank you..

Answer: Expiration date for fillers Thank you for your question StecaeyVk. I understand your concern. Fillers are used to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face. The shelf life of most fillers is approximately one to two years. This is variable and depends on the manufacturer. In our office we record the lot number and expiration date which are provided with each product in the patient's medical record. If the expiration number is not available the manufacturer may be able to determine it from the lot number. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Answer: Shelf life for filler Hi and thanks for your question. The average shelf life is 1-2 years and it can be more . I doubt that they use an expired fille.

Answer: Expiration Dates Expiration dates vary with the product and how old it was when purchased. I have fillers that have over 2 years to expire. There is a tag on fillers that I place on the patients chart. It documents the expiration date. Best Wishes, Maurice Vick MD
