Can abs be damaged in abdominal lipo and is there a test/imaging etc that can determine what went wrong?

Follow-up to: I had ab lipo to harvest fat to reconstruct arms. Was thin/was not a cosmetic procedure; had to get some fat to fix arms. Before surgery could do 55 situps/min. Now cannot do 1. Abs damaged somehow? How to determine what happened? Want to fix it. New:Went back to surgeon who did work - deserted me. PCP ordered catscan but couldn't see anything. Procedure was a couple yrs ago & can't do a situp. Can't figure out what is wrong so don't know what to do. Imbalanced w/o core strength.

Liposuction removes the fat thats right under the skin. and muscles are quite far deep. in order for the muscles to be affected one has to have had tummy tuck done as thats at the level of muscles. having said that, if you feel weak in your core muscles (which it seems like you are) its best to get an evaluation by a professional such as Physical Therapists and Rehab doctors. as those might be able to order the right kind of tests for you to see why you are weak
