Does HA filler really dissolve?

Hyaluronic Acid based fillers do dissolve in their own overtime, if you don't like what you see you can get them dissolved with hyaluronidase.

HA (hyaluronic acid) fillers will all dissolve on their own over time.  It is also possible to dissolve HA fillers with an injection of hyaluronidase.  In my experience, I have not had a patient where the HA filler could not be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  The dose of hyaluronidase used can influence the results though.  It is possible that you just need more hyaluronidase to dissolve more of your HA filler.  

Hello. Thank you for your question. HA fillers can absolutely be dissolved. Unless you had Radiesse or Belatero injected, you should not have a problem getting it dissolved.

You should be confident that these will dissolve. Under eyes might last longer then cheeks or lips but we are still talking about lasting average of a year under eyes. Encapsulation is very rare , I thankfully have never seen it.

On the average, hyaluronic acid fillers should last approximately 6 months but I have seen patients who have retain their hyaluronic acid fillers in the lower eyelid for more than 25 years. Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers will dissolve over time. On average they last 4-12 months depending on the type of HA filler. However, it is possible to inject hyaluronidase to the area treated with HA dermal fillers to dissolve the filler within days.
