I'm 18 & was born with eyebags - what should I do to get rid of them? (Photos)

Question

I've had eye bags ever since I was a baby and no amount of makeup covers them. They're more on the red side, not really dark circles, and kind of puffy. I would like to get rid of them permanently. Nonsurgical is my preference but if that isn't recommended I understand. My main concern is blindness risk. Which procedure would be the best considering my age, and also has the least risk of blindness? Thank you.

Common reasons for lower blepharoplasty include tear trough deformity or pseudoherniation of the orbital fat.  An in-person exam would provide a more accurate diagnosis, but preliminarily based on your photos it does appear you have pseudoherniation of fat creating "eye bags.” They should also be more prominent when you look up. Transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning will provide nice results and a better lid-cheek transition in this case.

Hello! Thank you for your question.As far as I can see from your photo you have eye bags and extra skin under your eye area. Also your eye corners are very downward. For get rid of the eye bags, make your eyes more slanted and upward I suggest lower eyelid blepharoplasty and cat eye procedure. Best Regards!

At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella​), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2​), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. Thank you for your question.  I do see puffiness underneath her lower eyelids and dark circles underneath the puffiness.  This often is inherited and patients with this issue often notice darkness under the lower eyelids even when they are young child.
You are young but there is no reason that you cannot have this corrected if it is bothering you and you wish to correct it.  Further maturation and growth is not going to change the appearance.

At the best solution for this problem is called a trans-conjunctival lower blepharoplasty with arcus marginalis and fat grafting.  There is no visible incision with this procedure and results typically not only relieve the puffiness but reduce the dark circles underneath the eyelid.
