Mummy makeover post surgery complications nearly 2 years on

Question

I had a mummy makeover completed in Istanbul nearly 2 years ago. I developed a severe infection in my breast incision and had to have further surgery 6 weeks later as a result. I have had issues with my tummy tuck though. This has been going on since I had it completed however, I thought with time and healing things would deminish. Will elaborate when someone is available to comment. I am in the UK and am now being refferrd for investigations -(I.E ultrasound).

Thank you for your history. Before any recommendations can be made, a diagnosis needs to be established. Therefore, further history and examination must be obtained. This would include a consultation, virtual or physical examination, examination of pictures, and further radiographic imaging such as an ultrasound, CT scan, or even MRI. Once a diagnosis is established, a surgical plan can be created.

I am sorry you had difficulties. surgery is best done where you live so you can have follow ups visits when needed. find a physician there and discuss your issues.  Cheap surgery is not always best.

When complications arise it's typically recommended to begin by visiting with your surgeon for an evaluation.  She/He is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.  If you are unsatisfied with that option you can visit other board certified plastic surgeons near you for a second opinion.  If needed, a referral to a specialist may be given.
