My eyes appear very droopy at the outer corners. I know that canthoplasty is an option, but I would rather go for something non-surgical if possible. I know Botox and fillers can lift the eyebrow, but can they be used to give my eyes a more upturned look?
Answer: Botox and Fillers for Outer Corners Of Eyes without photos it is impossible for us to give you an honest opinion. Sometimes fillers or botox can be used for brow elevation but not sure about the "corners" without seeing photos. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist or oculoplastic surgeon. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Can Botox or fillers be used to lift the outer corners of the eyes? Thank you for your question. As you mentioned Botox can be used to perform a chemical brow lift, elevating the brow to improve eye opening and mild skin excess. Though extensive use of Botox around the eye can cause some subtle shape changes, unless the droop of the outer corners is the result of an overactive muscle, Botox likely won't be able to lift the corner. The only way to really be able to tell is through an in-person examination with a board certified plastic surgeon. Occasionally fillers can be used to support the tissues of the lower lid, and with improvement in volume and placement, may cause a subtle improvement in your eye shape.

Answer: Fillers for fullness and sparkle around the eye and cheek following Botox brow lift Dear Leda1992:You appear well read on the use of Botox and Fillers. Botox as you have mentioned will rebalance the tail of the brow in an upward direction by weakening the upper, outer orbicularis muscle and allowing the frontalis muscle to lift the outer brow. It has 2 side-effects not commonly discussed:weakening the "crow's feet" muscles also allows the overlying skin to relax. This will soften the tighteness and reflection of light along the upper outer orbit, and relax the lift of the mid and lower lateral orbit (next to and below the lateral canthus) allowing the mid-lateral cheek to descend. Fillers may be used artfully to restore these features when used along the edge of the boney orbit to fill the lost volume and add a sparkle or light reflection along the upper outer corner of the eye. Fillers properly injected may also "fill-up" the volume loss associated with subtle cheek descent from Botox as well and similarly add a light reflection to the cheek. Canthoplasty is a technique used to suspend and elevate the lower eyelid when loose or reposition the eyelid sling into a more "cat's" eye appearance. Canthoplasty may be recommended to support a mid-facelift if the cheek tissues require additional suspension. These are artful and advanced non-surgical techniques. Choose your talented and skillful Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or ENT Facial Surgeon carefully. I wish you all the best!

Answer: Botox-Chemical Browlift Botox can be used to perform a chemical browlift that will lift the brow and the lateral corners of the brow and to decrease the hooding of the brow laterally. This helps reshape the brow-upper eyelid area to give it a more rejuvenated appearance. Of course this is temporary and will needed to be repeated on average every 3 months.

Answer: Botox or Filler for corners of eyes Good question. I have never used botox or filler to correct this issue, nor do I know of any other physicians who have. The only way I have seen this problem corrected is with surgery.
