I am 5 days post fue, I have been very cautious the past 5 days, however as I live alone there are everyday chores that must be done, cooking, tidying etc. Will moving about alot have a negative impact on transplant. Also, as I was advised, I haven't been bending over so everything that I have needed to pick up it has been a case of squatting down to pick it up, will this increase blood pressure. Essentially am I doing anything to ruin my results and would I be aware if I have lost any grafts?

Answer: Activity following FUE hair restoration surgery It is vital after FUE or FUT hair restoration surgery to follow the guidelines and instructions that your physician directed you to do. The grafts take about 10 days to firmly take; prior to this, you should be cleaning your scalp as directed by your physician. Also, you must be careful not to dislodge the grafts during this time period as their not completely attached to your scalp. After about 2 weeks, it is virtually impossible to dislodge the grafts.

Answer: 5 days after FUE An FUE is treated just like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days of surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish. The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of crusts. I generally recommend and if you washed it properly, there will be no crusts on it, even the very next day. Use of a sponge which we supply our patients, a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of losing grafts. IF any crusts are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing.
