I have a small patch of hair missing in my eyebrow, from a 20 year old accident scar. The skin in that area feels normal/natural though, rather than thick/scar-like. Since, I'm completely bald (very thin fringe left on the back), I was wondering if its possible to use Armpit hair instead? I took few armpit hair and compared those with the eyebrow - the texture/color seemed same. Looked at hair cycle durations and it seems they are simliar - so that shouldn't be an issue either?
Answer: Body Hair Transplant Using Underarm Hair For those who are seeking a hair transplant (whether for scalp or face) and do not have a sufficient donor area, there are other areas on the body hair can be extracted from. Common areas are the chest, beard, and back. Under arms are an option as well. In order to determine what area would be best as a donor area, you would need to meet with an experienced body hair transplant surgeon in person, to assess the quality of all donor areas. Once a comprehensive evaluation has been done, a graft and price quote can be given. You can read more about body hair transplants below.

Answer: Caliber comparison When selecting donor hair for eyebrow surgey - you need to choose hair of the same caliber. This really requires a microscopic analysis by someone who knows what they are doing. Additionally, if your arm hair is different (kinky or curly) than your other brow hair, you would want to explore other donor sources.Good luck!

Answer: Armpit hair as donor area Yes, armpit hair can be used as donor hair, but you need to be examined to make sure that you have no other donor source. This is not an internet decision. Eyebrow hair, with standard FUE, can almost always get hair from the scalp.
