Had 2 consultations and my surgeon told me on Friday that he has to lower my breast fold and I was wondering why when I have seen lots of woman with little breast tissue between the nipple and crease on here and they didn't have to have this done??also was wondering if there is a way around this? Thanks in advance for your answers

Answer: Lowering the Crease Hello,Lowering the breast fold is based on your biodimensional measurements, as well as the planned implant size. Without an examination or at least photographs, little can be said about your particular case. I share your concern. Lowering the fold can be unpredictable, and can lead to unanticipated drop out if not done well. Make sure your consults are with surgeons expert in cosmetic breast surgery, ABPS certified, and a ASAPS member.Best of luck!

Answer: #BreastAugmentation Hi Rae,Do you have any photos or further information? What procedure are you getting done? When in doubt, a exam in person is always best. I sometimes lower the inframmary fold during breast augmentation but its not that often. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions.I hope this was helpful,Dr. Daniel BarrettPlastic SurgeryBeverly Hills, CA
