Hair Transplant After Rhinoplasty - can this negatively affect the outcome?

I am a 31 year old male who had a rhinoplasty surgery 8 months ago and so far, there has been a significant reduction in swelling and I am starting to like the result. I am also considering a hair transplant in the next 2-3 months, but I am not sure if it will be safe for me to do it by then. Can a hair transplant negatively affect the outcome of a rhinoplasty procedure, assuming that the former takes place after the latter?

Thank you for your question. Main concern would be wearing an external cast as part of the rhinoplasty recovery processs. In your case this is not a concern as 8 months has passed since your rhinoplasty surgery. The hair transplant is easier to recover from and swelling subsides in 4-5 days. I would still recommend you let your surgeon know about your previous surgery as well. Good luck.

There is no reason that a hair transplant would have any effect on the outcome of your rhinoplasty. Certainly there are some patients who experience forehead swelling a few days after their transplant but this is transient and resolves without any intervention after less than a week. And even if swelling occurred, it would have no lasting effects on your nasal bone or cartilage. I hope this helps.

Yes, it is safe.If you are medically fit and a candidate for a hair transplant (Male Pattern Baldness requiring Hair Transplant), you can go ahead with the hair transplant procedure. It has been 8 months since you got your rhinoplasty done, hair transplant now will not affect your rhinoplasty negatively.
