Brown spots with chemical peel?

I have been getting regular chemical peels for a year now. But this time when I got a chemical peel I was in the sun (with sunscreen) after and now I have 2 brown patches on my cheek bones. Will this go away?

Hi!  How many days since the peel did you notice the brown spots?  If it's pretty immediate, it'll most likely peel off.  It's common to get brown spots right after a peel which will then peel off.  Just need to keep your face well moisturized, and stay out of the sun. However, if these are new spots that have come up, then you'll need all the usual remedies for treatment of hyper pigmentation (consistent daily skincare regimen, peels, sunscreen, lasers).

Unfortunately sun can cause brown spots, dry skin and skin cancer.Despite all the hard work with peels, laser, skin lightening....sun will reabsorb in your skin and stimulate hyperpigmentation again.Prevention with spf 30+ daily, and a wide brimmed hat will help.Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa
