New hair growth 5 weeks after FUE hair transplant treatment, is it existing or transplanted hair that is growing? (photo)

Question

I had a FUE treatment with 3000 grafts + one treatment of PRP focused on front&top. I was not bald, but had a general thining around front/top/crown. My own hair has grown to 1cm as of today and the transplanted ones were all shed after 2 weeks. However, now, after 6 weeks, I can see many small hair in between my 1cm hairs that are sprouting out. Are these the transplanted hairs? Or my own hair that for some reason had a slower growth then the others? Or hair reappearing due to PRP?

If you have post operative issues, it is best to contact your doctor for a follow up examination.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see growth or results.

Without seeing it up close and in person there's no way to know for sure. But, it is probably your natural hair. Transplanted hair very rarely begins growing at such an early stage, but it has happened. Seeing natural hair at this time is much more likely.

Healing process going on .  You should not expect any result at this stage . Transplanted hairs start to visibly regrow between months 4-6. At month 6-9, you may  expect to see growth for  80% of the transplants. Again, due to the random cycle of hair growth, not all grafts will start growing at the same time. Initially, the hair my be thinner and finer. It will gain length and density as it matures. Full growth from the transplants is usually achieved at 12 months . Good luck

The growth your seeing is likely your native hair.  From time to time some of the transplanted hair will grow immediately but it typically goes in to a resting phase and won't return for 3-4 months.

Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx.  %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing  or touching the head.New hair at transplant/recipient area starts to grow at 3-4 th month after surgery .So those are not  the transplanted hairs, that you see after 6 weeks ... they are just your native hairs

Most likely this is your existing pre transplanted hair growing in. Growth of the transplanted hair generally starts at the 3 month mark.
