Periorficial dermatitis post Fraxel treatment?

I had fraxel done on Friday, and today I noticed when I started peeling that I had red itchy bumps on the side of my mouth. It looks like periorificial dermatitis, is there anything I can do to treat it?

This is difficult to answer without pictures and needs an in-person evaluation. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care recommendations. I combine all of our laser treatments with microneedling, PRP, and stem cells to improve your color, texture, and tone along with the healing process. if a patient has an underlying tendency to develop POD then Fraxel can trigger that. I would be careful before empirically treating it as POD without a visit to your doctors office to make sure its not herpetic.

It is not perioral dermatitis. I would make sure the area is moisturized well with a bland moisturizer. It is hard to definitively say what is going on without a picture. Sometimes a topical steroid is useful. It can be related to the creams you are using as well.
