Will a Fraxel help with milia?

I’m getting a fraxel done all over my face including eye lids. My question is will the fraxel help me with the milia I have under my eyes or will it make it worst? Than you for your time.

I treat this with needle removal but you can do clear + brilliant or fraxel laser  with microneedling/prp and get improvement with milia. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.

Fraxel will help remove the sun damage and dark spots and fine lines and wrinkles on the skin and acne scars.  Fraxel will not help milia at all which needs to be removed though extractions.  Please consult an expert in Fraxel for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green

Fraxel will not improve your milia and it actually can cause milia on its own. I would recommend having the milia extracted easily by a physician. I would recommend having microdermabrasion before and after your fraxel sessions to remove excess dead skin and minimize the risk of getting new milia forming.  Good luck with your treatments.

Fraxel is a great skin rejuvenation treatment.  It depends on the person performing the treatment and how deep your milia may be.  If they are superficial, it can be beneficial if the fraxel dual is the treatment, meaning the 1927nm pass is performed in your treatment procedure.  I would address this with your dermatologist at the time of your treatment.  If the eyelids are treated, internal eye shields must be used for eye protection.
