Can I wear a push up bra to create cleavage if I have textured, tear drop, "gummi bear" implants?

Thank you for your question. My patients will have a surgical bra that I place at the time of surgery. They normally wear this for the first week or two and then transition to a sports bra that opens in the front. By six weeks, if their implants have sufficiently descended, I let my patients know they can start wearing a normal bra (including a push-up bra). They may still undergo some changes which can change their bra preferences a few months later.  The type of implant should not affect your choice of bra once the breasts are fully healed.

A shaped implant will not give as much cleavage with a push up brassiere as compared to natural breast tissue of the same volume. All the best with your uipcoming procedure. 

Textured implants are "locked" into place because of the ingrowth of scar tissue into the texture so they will not move. If a teardrop implant could move, and they sometimes do, the look is quite bizarre. Most doctors do not use the teardrop because of that risk and the fact that in a year it is hard to tell the difference by exam or mammogram as proven in two large studies in the last 10 years.
