This is very common in the couple of weeks right after your surgery. Your breast tissue is adjusting to the implants and this tightness can compress your implants. Your breasts need to "drop". The dropping process usually takes about three to four months. Natural tissue expansion and gravity will help your breasts become more natural in appearance and feel. However, if you are very concerned, please talk to your surgeon. They'll be able to better assess your condition.
It is notuncommon for the breasts to still feel firm only 3 weeks following breast augmentationsurgery. This can be attributed to swelling which occurs right after surgeryand can take weeks, even months to be completely gone. As theswelling subsides, the breasts will soften and begin to feel and look morenatural. Be sure to follow up with yoursurgeon as to your progress.
You are still at an early stage of healing and will still have swelling. Post surgery swelling may take up to 3 months to subside completely so I would not be too concerned. You will find that things should improve over time.
There are many factors that can effect the way your breast feel post operatively. In general, as time goes on your tissues will soften, gravity will win and cause the breast to fall some, the pressure and sensation of fullness in your chest will decrease. Without know the details of your surgery... all I can say is that you are still very early in the overall course of your breast augmentation and I would expect everything to continue to improve with time.
At just 3 weeks post-op from a breast augmentation, it is not unusual for your breasts to still feel firm. Everyone is different when it comes to healing time, so try to be patient knowing that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months for swelling to subside and your implants to drop. Over the next couple of months, your breasts will become softer and the shape will fill out more toward the bottom of your breasts but until then, continue to follow your surgeon's post-op instructions and most importantly, be patient. Congratulations and best of luck! ac
Without photos, and some clinical info (size of implants, height weight, above or below the muscle) it is really difficult to comment. I can say that at three weeks many women have implants that feel firm, yet three months later they feel soft and natural.Follow with your surgeon. All the best.
You are correct, it does take fewer breast implant cc to achieve the same cup size enlargement than a larger person will require.Very generally speaking it takes about 200 cc of breast implant to increase the breast one cup size. However you need to be examined by a board certified plastic...
It goes against what most plastic surgeons are trained to do. But if you're fully informed and the implant footprint will fit on your chest and your willing to accept all of the anticipated problems down the road, you can find a surgeon who will do this for you. Life is about living...
Great Question. We use the Dual Plane technique on patients from around the country who are seeking improvement in their nipple position (like a breast lift) without the scars of a breast lift using just the implant. This is achieved by separating the pectoralis muscle from the overlying breast...
