How can I apply my Retin-A 0.05% around my eye area skin without severe swelling and irritation which I'm having?

I start using Retin A 0.05% and did not have any significant irritation or redness at the beginning. But after some time I got severe swelling and irritation around my eye area. I bought Hydrocortisone 1% ointment to help the situation.Currently I'm using my Retin A again but there is no way I can go closer to my eye area , which is very sad for me,since I would like to improve my around eye area skin.I tried to mix the retin A cream with moisturize and then apply it but it did not help as well.

Retin-A should not be used around your eyes.  Even if you mix it will moisturizer.  I would recommend you use an eye cream or consider laser or a chemical peel for treating the eye area.  Best of luck to you.

Stop using RetinA for the under eyes.  The skin around your eyes is very sensitive and 0.05% RetinA is very irritating.  Try a mild Retinol or product specific eye creams.  Also, resurfacing procedures such as Halo or Fraxel can help improve texture and wrinkles around the eyes along with the use of Botox.  Retin A is not optimal for the eyes.
