Burning, itching excessively, peeling a ton.

I have been using Ziana for about 4 years now along with NIA24 products. My skin was pretty clear, no acne. A few months ago my face started breaking out slightly, and the dermatologist prescribed Retin-A Micro .08 - the first 3 weeks were fine, 4th week my face started burning, itching excessively, peeling a ton. I'm wondering if I should just stick to the Ziana and use the Retin-A Micro just once week, would that be OK? I'm using it more for anti-aging, not really for acne.
