IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. It can also lead to hair removal. For permanent hair reduction a series of treatments is required using different settings. Typically hair that has been singed from an IPL treatment will grow back slowly over time. We have found that applying Latisse to the brows helps speed this up. Well, this is very unfortunate. I had this happen once in my practice. Unfortunately for that patient, her eyebrow never did fully grow back. The issue is that brows have cycles of growth, just like anywhere on your body. So your brow hair will not grow back all at once, because that's not how the hair cycle works. If you'd like to kick things into gear faster, you could try applying Latisse to this area (which is not FDA approved but does work). It will at least get the brow growing faster and keep your hairs in the growth cycle longer. The good thing is that IPL is not a great treatment option for laser hair removal, but the bad thing is that it still does work at times.
