Roxski,I would treat this as a first-degree burn, with specific wound healing skincare products, more potent than Aloe.  A few days of a strong anti-inflammatory such as prednisone would also help with the swelling.  Good luck!

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care post IPL. Laser results cant take several weeks to settle. I usually recommend a combination of treatments with IPL for best results. I suggest adding microneedling/prp and skin care to improve skin quality and tone once healed. Pigmentation can be improved with laser, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening and peels. At this time however this needs silicone based scar gels with growth factors to speed up the healing and prevent pigmentation issues. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. I recommend that my patients treat blisters with wound care. For my patients I provide the Avene Thermal spray water and the Elta MD Intense moisturizer. Patients spray the water then apply a thin layer of the moisturizer onto a wet skin surface every couple of hours for a week or so. Settings should be adjusted on subsequent treatments to avoid such side effects. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
