Thank you for your question. An extra nipple is called a supernumerary nipple or accessory nipple. Excision of extra nipples is usually a fairly straight-forward procedure which can be performed in your board-certified plastic surgeon's office under local anesthesia. We would charge approximately $1000.00-$1500.00 for removal of one in the office.
Thank you for sharing your question. In most cases accessory nipples require surgical removal and I would advocate seeing an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation. Hope this helps.
Accessory nipples are more common than you may think, and most plastic surgeons have experience removing them. It is usually no more difficult than removing a mole, and can be performed under local anesthesia in the office setting. Best of luck.

Yes, you should ask anything of concern, especially when it comes to your specific anatomy and goals, during the consultation process. Ultimately, careful selection of plastic surgeon and communication goals are 2 of the keys to success when it comes to successful breast surgery. Best wishes.
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Though I see your loose stitch I do not see that your incision has opened but I would talk with your surgeon about your concerns. They can examine the stitches and determine appropriate wound care to ensure you go on to heal without issue...
There are different ways to keep nipples erected; placement of local tissue (flap) from areola in the nipple and/or placement of small particles of cartilage are some of the possibilities. However, with all of these procedures you may loose ability to breast feed due to need to remove nipple at...
