Im 5'9 and a mom of 4 (6 months post partum) and while i go to the gym and am fit, my stomach never matches. I dont feel i have enough loose skin for a TT but im clueless. My ob says my muscle separation is at my belly button and its tiny amount. Then why do i dome when i stand and cant suck it in? I would love to get lipo only but dont want to hate my results.

Answer: Diastasis Recti It is possible that your diastasis recti will not be corrected with exercise alone. I would suggest consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon. I have included a link to photos of a patient of mine who had severe diastasis recti. Hopefully you find this helpful!

Answer: Modified tummy tuck Thanks for your question! I would suggest a mini or modified tummy tuck. You can repair the muscle wall, float the belly button and remove some of the excess skin in the lower belly. Your belly button looks high enough to perform that surgery. Good luck!

Answer: Options Hello! This is a great question! There are many options that we offer for your concerns like yours, and I will begin by stating that an in office consult is required to really be able to tell what the best option is for you. You may require plication of your abdominal muscles as well as a mini tummy tuck for your area of concern, as this will help place your muscles in the correct anatomical position. Liposuction would be advised if, on examining you, you have excess subcutaneous tissue that can be safely suctioned. It is always best to be examined in office, in person, to be able to feel the level of diastasis, and examine your concerns from up close! Best,Dr. Tanovic
