Septoplasty splints: 1 day post surgery and one of my splints are visible, and the other I can’t see at all. Is this okay?

I’m really really worried I messed something up will I be okay?? I’m really freaked out because I can fully see them on this right side like the whole thing but not at all on my left and ima fraud it’s something I did and it will make my nose heal crooked. I was messing too much with my nose it had felt like I have a clump of blood stuck in my right side and I’m afraid I moved the splint ?

Usually splints are sewn through the septum with a pretty big stitch.  You would have to really crank on the stitch to dislodge them, which would be painful.  Check with your surgeon.

Any issues or concerns one day post surgery should be addressed directly with the rhinoplasty surgeon who performed surgery. He/she can examine you and help determine appropriate options. Generally, rhinoplasty splints may or may not be used after surgery. Splints, external or internal, may be stitched or taped in place. Most splints are removed 1 week after surgery. Patients should follow the after care instructions specific to their rhinoplasty.Best,Dr. Chaboki
