Septoplasty typically involves removing portions of deviated bone and cartilage from the septum, so it cannot really be "reversed," but revision nasal surgery can certainly be performed in patients who still have difficulty breathing through the nose after septoplasty. At only 2 months after surgery, you may still have some swelling that has not completely resolved, so I would not rush to undergo a revision procedure at this time. At this point in the postoperative period I would recommend that you continue to discuss any concerns that you have with the surgeon who performed your septoplasty. It is possible that you may have an issue other than the septum that is creating difficulty with breathing through the nose, which may not have been addressed during your initial surgery. If you do decide that you would like to consider revision surgery in the future, make sure that your surgeon has expertise in diagnosing and treating the various causes of nasal obstruction, with particular experience in revision cases such as yours. Best wishes,
