Two Blepharoplasties With No Change. What can I do? (Photo)

I had 2 blepharoplasty‘s with local anaesthetic the 1st one made no difference & neither did the 2nd. He now tells me I need a brow lift after taking my money and going through 2 very unpleasant procedures let alone time 2 weeks off work x2. From the before and after 2nd surgery picture do you think I need a brow lift? If so shouldn’t I have been told that before taking my money? Should I ask for my money back or a 3rd surgery? He didn’t charge me for the 2nd surgery. Not sure what to do!

If you can get your money back, I recommend that. You need a surgeon who really understands the upper eyelid and the aesthetic management of upper eyelid ptosis. Unfortunately, just because you have impressive credentials and a fancy office, it does not mean that you really know how to perform aesthetic eyelid surgery. You have been patient and given your current surgeon an opportunity to make things right. They are demonstrating that while they are conservative, they in fact do not really know how to fix your situation. Move on and find someone else to help you.

It is essential to examine you in person, but you appear to be quite young and unlikely to have brow ptosis. You do seem to have residual skin excess in your upper eyelids, examining you with your eyes closed would be essential to determine the degree of this.

For optimal outcome, please consult a fully qualified plastic surgeon, who has specialist qualification in plastic surgery 'FRCS Plast' after having being trained adequately in the field of plastic surgery, is registered on the 'Specialist register for Plastic surgery' with the General Medical Council and has been considered competent enough to be a member of the 'BAPRAS' (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) and 'BAAPS' (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) at the least.

Sometimes a brow lift can prevent the brow from being pulled down which can happen with blepharoplasty and could account for the lack of improvement but it is also possible not enough was done.  An in person examination would be necessary a d I would seek more than one opinion with an experienced surgeon who has done at least many hundreds of not thousands and is experienced with browlift as well as blepharoplasty.

As your isn't low, brow lifting is limited.  
Consider a second opinion, in person with a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.  They can assess you properly and discuss the potential options and their limitations.
