Typically the redness resolves over a month or so but can last longer.It is usually due to hypervascularity-increased blood flow-but can sometimes be a function of the skin type.This may take 3-6 months or more to fully resolve.

The redness remains just after surgery and it is "normal" to stay 14-21 days or more. That pinkish redness/discoloration may fade away in a long time up to 3-4 months .
