There are no indications saying that you should refrain from have a few drinks after having BOTOX injections. However, if drinking causes you to manipulate your face, touch your injections sites or become more physically active than maybe it’s best to hold off until you are in the clear. Most plastic surgeons suggest waiting to lie down or touch the treatment area for at least six hours or more if possible. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon to ensure you maintain your results.
Hello, and thank you for your question. There shouldn’t be any reason why you can’t have a few drinks after your BOTOX® appointment, although drinking in moderation is always best. Just keep in mind that you should avoid rubbing the treated area for the first few hours after getting BOTOX, and keep physical activity to a minimum during this time as well. If you have any specific questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to give your provider’s office a call.

You can drink alcohol after your Botox treatment. Usually, physicians recommend avoiding botox 24 hours before and after having a Botox treatment to avoid bruising; this is the only reason why it should be avoided. Having alcohol should not affect your final results; hence you can drink in moderation after having your treatment. Avoiding exercise, touching your face excessively, going for another aesthetic treatment, sun exposure, and lying down for a few hours are the most common indications after getting this treatment done. During your initial consultation, all the before and after recommendations should be made, including the quantity of alcohol you can consume.
