I'm looking to get botox to eliminate the "pebbly" appearance of my chin. My only concern is the long term effect of Botox use on the mentalis muscle. If the muscle atrophies over time with disuse, will that cause any physical changes in my chin - making it look droopy or anything of that sort?

Answer: Botox It is doubtful long term use of Botox would have a negative impact causing drooping of the tissues. If the muscle atrophies from continual long term use it may result in you needing treatment less often.

Answer: What are the effects of chin Botox when used long-term? Thank you for sharing your excellent question. There would not be any long-term effects with Botox use, only the muscle atrophy you describe. If you did not like the look, once botox wears off your muscle would return to its same size as before your treatment. Hope this helps.
