Is AccuTite RFAL the best nonsurgical option for saggy eyelids? I already have high arched eyebrows so Botox won't work for me.

I am looking for a solution for saggy eyelids. I am 61 years old. My doctor suggested RFAL (AccuTite). I am wondering about pros and cons. How long results will last etc.Thank you

I think it's a great alternative to actual eyelid surgery.  The technology takes radiofrequency energy to precise temperatures to heat the collagen of the area.  The area slowly responds to the heat and it tightens the treated region.  Limited con's as a low risk alternative to eyelid surgery other than waiting for your result.  The pro's are really there is no surgery involved, just internal heating.  Best Wishes!!

Laurada.Hello thank you for your questions and photographs.  An in person consultation is necessary to determine your  best course of action.  Accutite is a fantastic non surgical procedure for  skin / facial tightening.   In review of your pictures alone  I do not believe you will receive a satisfactory result  by a non surgical upper eyelid procedure. Also you may very well have more downtime and swelling them by eyelid surgery.  I would consider laser eyelid surgery.  This can be predictably  performed to best contour  your eyelid skin and fullness.   the laser helps to stop bleeding simultaneously greatly reducing downtime and swelling for most.

the best treatment here is eyelid surgery, its minimal downtime and we often do this awake for patients. RFAL is fine but doesnt nearly do what a Bleph does. also at home peels, MTS roller + ante age MD ampules and in office co2 laser should be done.  thermage eye once a year.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In this picture it looks like you have extra skin which can be surgically removed.  You may also have a true ptosis of the upper lids which can also be surgically repaired.  There is nothing non-surgical that is going to get rid of this skin. Accutite is not going to accomplish what you want here.

Accutite would be a great option for your lower eyelids with removal of the bags as there is minimal lower lid laxity. For the upper eyelids, I would recommend an upper eyelid blepharoplasty as that will help remove that excess skin and conserve your contour.

Based on your photo you'll have the best result from an upper blepharoplasty.  This procedure can be performed comfortably with local anesthesia.  This option will give you the most predictable, long lasting results.  I've included a video that I hope you find helpful.

The photograph demonstrates hooded and inelastic skin on the upper eyelids which are resting on the eyelashes. This is called dermatochalasis. The only procedure that can help with this issue is an upper blepharoplasty procedure which can be performed under either local or general anesthesia.
