Those are not true perioral mounds by their anatomic location, those might be better called lip mounds. I have do microliposuction on this lateral lip areas with some modest improvement in them.
That is interesting, I have never heard that called a perioral mound . It is really due to volume loss around that area of muscles in your upper lip. I would suggest seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area who can explain to you the muscles of the face and where atrophy occurs.
