Hello, I had a FUE transplant 8 days ago. Today I was wearing a loosely fitting baseball cap. A friend came to me, unaware of my transplant, and tapped me firmly and also rubbed my head (still wearing cap). I immediately made him aware of the situation. Anyway, I check the area about 10 minutes late, no sign of blood, just a slight tingle on my scalp. I am now worried that he may of dislodged or damaged the crafts. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Answer: 8 days post -op Based on your description it is highly unlikely that there was any graft injury.Generally if there is no bleeding than all is good-also,by 8 days the grafts are fairly well incorporated into the scalp.

Answer: Should be fine Hi Bart, Boys will be boys, can't help that. While we normally say that after 2 weeks the transplants are set in, 8 days should be fine. As long as your are not picking and scratching (digging deep with finger nails or a sharp object), I don't think your friend had much chance of doing significant damage. I think that you will be fine. BTW, great choice on getting the FUE!
