Does an outer thigh lift/lower body lift help with a dropped buttock/lower gluteal fold? I had saddlebag/outer thigh lipo 1 year ago ( he did NOT touch my banarolls!) which made 1 butt cheek ( the one with the tattoo above) drop/slope downwards because it seems the support is totally gone because of the outer thigh lipo. I don’t want a butt tuck ( incisions in the butt crease) but I wonder if a LBL could pull the one cheek up? You can see it slopes down on 1 side.
Answer: Asymmetrical body You must understand that our body is naturally asymmetrical, and surgery very difficultly will achieve perfection. Your infragluteal fold is barely noticeable, no women has perfect exact length, position and height of the infragluteal fold. You have a beautiful result after the fat grafting and the “tuck” of the infragluteal fold may be messed up forever, doing direct incision. In my humble opinion you need nothing surgical. Answer: Drooped Buttock/Lower Gluteal Fold Thank you for your question regarding whether a buttock lift can correct asymmetry in gluteal or banana roll folds. In regards to your individual question, it appears in your preoperative pictures (the first picture), you have a scar over your hips (or maybe this is a tan line). I wonder, did you have a prior body lift? Either way, a primary or revision 360 circumferential lower body lift can correct for asymmetries of the infragluteal fold. This would be with asymmetric elevations of the buttock. In your case, I would pull more on the lower side. I would not suggest doing any more liposuction because it may make this condition worse. The 360 circumferential lower body lift takes between 4 to 6 hours to complete. Plan on a 2 to 3-week recovery. Please seek an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who has performed hundreds of body lifts. Thank you for your question regarding whether a 360 circumferential lower body lift can correct for lower buttock asymmetries. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Lower bodylift Dear Tummy27, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is a lower body lift indicated? Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note a minimal amount of asymmetry of the hips and buttocks. This could be potentially improved with a lower body lift but at the expense of potentially significant surgical scarring of the superior buttocks and hips (usually camouflaged by clothing, bathing suits). It's a trade-off...and may not be worth it. Best wishes...
