Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. It will take several months for the punch excision of the mole on your cheek to heal.  During this time, the area normally will flatten out more than it is at 2 weeks after the procedure.  I would recommend waiting more time to see how it heals.  If there is some irregularity after more time, this could be easily adjusted with a simple surgical revision.  

Thank you for your question.  It will take a full year for a scar to fully remodel.  Eleven days post-operative is too early to know the final outcome.  If you still have a pink appearance to the area after 3-4 months you can have a pulse dye laser treatment to decrease the pink color.  There are also various fractionated lasers that can blend the edges of the scar. Topical silicon preparations may also help to improve the scar appearance. However, I think your scar will heal nicely with no treatment at all if you give it more time to heal.
