Does laser surgery leave any mark/scar behind?

My friend has a mole on her forehead which she wants to get removed through Laser surgery but is afraid if it leaves any mark behind or not. Please advise.

Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Anytime the skin is cut it leaves a scar.  You can limit scars with lasers if done properly by an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

LASER is not a magic wand, its just another tool to cut or destroy tissue and anytime you traumatize tissue, you can expect some inflammation and resulting collagen stimulation which is scarring and hyper-pigmentation.
