Should I be concerned about swollen lymph nodes 8 days post chin liposuction?

almost everybody gets a hard lump he texture of their tissues after liposuction. These are not at all necessarily swollen lymph nodes but areas of inflammation. This typically improves over the next month.  It would've been nice if your doctor explained this process.  Some people may recommend massage but you should check with your provider to see what he or she recommends.  If your doctor is done liposuction before then here she should not be surprised at how tissues respond. At this point there's not a great substitute for being patient and letting yourself heal which usually goes a long ways when it comes to how people feel one week after liposuction. I encourage my patients to not look in the mirror during the first few weeks after having liposuction. It gets people upset and  anxious.  It takes 3 to 6 months for your results to be final. Six weeks is a good time frame to start judging your results.   Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
