Why is one of my butt cheeks bigger than the other? (photo)

Question

I noticed that one butt cheek is more flat and smaller than the other. This was alarming for me. I have been doing workouts and it's by helping. Please help!!!

Everyone has assymetry in different sides of their body. If this bothers you see a plastic surgeon who does fat transfer and they can enlarge the smaller side or liposuction the large side to make it smaller. Also they could check you to make sure it is not from a spine curvature or hip tilt that makes the buttock look uneven. Good luck.

Hi and thanks for the question and photo. There are many reasons for having buttocks asymmetry including your bone structure / pelvis. It appears form the photo that you may have a tilt to your pelvis contributing to the difference between the two sides of your buttocks. Best of Luck - Dr Hardy

Buttocks asymmetry is very common and can be corrected using fat grafting transfer; both cheeks can then be augmented evenly with either fat or implant augmentation.

Did human body is a symmetrical.Every part of the body is generally asymmetric.This is not only true for internal organs but the overall body structure as well.While mild asymmetry is part of natural beauty and does not need to be corrected for some people have asymmetry to the point of being highly noticeable.when addressing asymmetry it's important to understand the underlying cause of what the asymmetry is from.In other words is it related to bone structure, muscle mass, fat layers or skin.too often the treatment of asymmetry will cause a new asymmetry.For example if someone's skeletal structure is a symmetric and this is treated with either liposuction or fat transfer the subcutaneous fat layers will become a symmetrical.This can intern create a new asymmetry which may look worse or unnatural.An accurate assessment and thorough treatment plan should always be made and surgical interventions for asymmetry should be approached with caution.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
