Juvederm or Restylane wouldbe great for that area since they are both hyaluronic acid fillers. It wouldfill in the soft tissue dent and help get rid of the hollowness that younotice. However, Botox works well in conjunction with the filler. Botox willhelp reduce the Corrugator Muscle from pulling, which will work to preserve thefiller and make it last longer.
There are a couple of way that this can be remedied. It would be helpful to see a photo that shows your entire upper face. There is a hint that the corrugator muscle (frown muscle) is pulling on the tissue and creating the dent. In that case Botox can be very helpful to relax that muscle. If the dent does not result from muscle movement then a hyaluronic acid filler could be placed in the dent to fill it. This is a complicated area of the face to inject with fillers so you definitely need to consult with an experienced physician injector. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
The treatment for this depressed area depends upon the cause of the depression. If it is due to muscular action then a neuromodulator such as Botox/Dysport/Xeomin would be a nice solution. If it an actual depression then a filler would help. There are commercial fillers that could be used or fat transferred from elsewhere in the body would give a more long-term solution. I would suggest a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can review your options in more detail with you.
Most depressions such as in your photo can be filled with temporary fillers such as radiesse $650 or voluma $1000 or possible permanent filler such as artefil $1000 or even a special permanent implant $1500.
Thanks for using RealSelf. Either fat grafts or Juvederm's VOLUMA fillers are my best over the internet recommendations.
I would start with the use of fillers. Radiesse is a very nice filler for this area as is Voluma. However whenever using fillers in this area beware that there are potential risks and side effects and your physician should make you fully aware of those risks
Without having an in person evaluation as to the cause of the indentation it is impossible to fully answer your question. There are filler materials that can provide either temporary or more permanent volume to the area, but the use of these different materials must be discussed in terms of all the risks and potential complications with your surgeon. It is possible that certain muscle function may be causing this as well, which could be improved temporarily with a neuromodulator. You would be best served with a nice consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
Without seeing more of your brow, it is impossible to tell what I the problem is. Possible options would be injecting the corrugator muscle with Botox, filling the depression or removing part of the muscle. See a plastic surgeon who is experienced in this area.
Hi Max. We're guessing that this was the evaluation because your physician wanted to perform surgery. We would disagree and you are an appropriate candidate for tear trough (under eye) injections with Restylane. We have done this many times for patients in your situation and...
Hi @AnnaSeattle. Injecting filler into a artery is a very rare occurrence. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Cannulas are safer and reduce the risk of bruising...
To be "perfectly" clear; Any medical injectable MUST have FDA clearances in order to be used in the USA. This product DOES NOT have those clearances, therefore illegal use becomes a felony action in Florida...
