Question

Will my stomach go back to when i got the tummy tuck after finding out when I started swelling 2 years after having the tummy tuck I had fibroids with endometriosis n had UFE Surgery. Will my flat stomach return?

Hello @Million5 thank you for your question. If you will have a flat stomach again depends on several factors, among them, that the tissues are still in the position in which they were left with abdominoplasty, usually this takes a while to reduce swelling. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS

Unfortunately, that may be difficult to predict. The important issue is to determine why your stomach is bulging. If you have steady had the fibroids excised, there may be residual swelling or laxity of the abdominal wall. Some of this should resolve with time. I would wait at least 6 months or more following fibroid surgery and then re-assess. Continue exercising with core strengthening. This always helps. Good luck!

It’s a little hard to tell what’s going on based on your post and limited pictures.

Conditions that increase intra-abdominal volume will cause the abdominal wall to bulge whether someone had a tummy tuck or not.

Typically on the pregnancies create true muscle separation so unless you’ve gained weight your results will most likely return to normal.
