I had cryotherapy done 3 months ago on my forehead and it is still very red. It is very red I am putting Hydrocortisone cream on area and it is not getting any smaller and is bright red.

Answer: LN2 Hello. Persistant erythema following LN2 can occur and can take months to fade. I would recommend that you return to your dermatologist to ensure that there are no underlying concerns and that the topical steroid cream is not worsening the problem as you could be having an allergic reaction to it. Cicaplast is a great OTC cream which helps reduce redness following procedures.

What you need is for your doctor (or another one if you want a second opinion) to examine you carefully and determine what is happening.I have found with my patients that often things look worse to them than they really -- I call it awfulizing and it's the firstborn thought of fear.Go back to your doctor and share your concern.
