I am more a fan of nonablative lasers and light peels like VI or salicylic acid peels with lightening cream over q switched/pico lasers for melasma. I suggest you see an expert for treatment. This is what I specialize in and see multiple times per day in my practice. In the summer you should use heliocare supplementation and additional sunscreen to prevent rebound or flaring. Best, Dr. Emer.
In my opinion, your best option would be to have a series of Permea by Clear and Brilliant. This laser is great for Melasma, and pigmentation of all kinds. It is a non-invasive laser treatment with a 1927nm wavelength, and is safe for all skin types. I would recommend having at least 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Good luck to you!#Melasma #BrownSpots #NonInvasiveProcedure
