2 questions: Is 10 weeks too soon to get botox again? Will insurance cover the botox since it helped with chronic pain?

Have had a headache/pressure between my brows. Dr treated for a sinus infection. After a couple rounds of antibiotics and steroids with no relief, I got a CT scan. It came back showing no issues. I have a herniated disc and a lot of inflammation in my neck. Only explanation i have been given was that it must be some kind of nerve issue.Then there was a miracle! I got botox injections for the lines between my brows. My headache was gone! The headache and pressure come back after about 10 weeks.

Botox is an FDA -approved treatment for migraines.  Botox on average lasts about 12 weeks for most patients.  In my experience, the migraine patients do typically return in 11-12 weeks, because the headaches start coming back in about 10-11 weeks.  When they wait 14 weeks or longer, they typically regret it.  Sometimes insurance will cover Botox treatments and sometimes they won't, but your doctor's office can probably investigate and report back to you.

Botox should last 3-4 months but I believe this period depends on the individual patient's metabolism. If your symptoms are back after 10 weeks, then repeat the treatment. Your doctor can try to get approval from your insurance carrier. Good luck
