Typically, liposuction is not associated with drastic weight loss or weight gain. It is a body contouring procedure, it is not a weight loss/gain procedure.

I'd recommend you see your primary care physician to make sure there are no physiologic abnormalities with your hormones or other things that can affect your metabolism/weight.

Liposuction is not going to have any significant impact on patients who gained 40 pounds.
Lymphatic, massage or compression garments have no impact on Liposuction outcomes.
Waiting primarily related to eating habits.
Eating healthy is not necessarily going to keep you and lean if portions are not well controlled.
Sometimes we need to redefine our perception of healthy food, normal portions and frequency of eating should be.
Obesity is almost always purely correlated with eating habits.
