2 year post op of Tummy Tuck, I have extra skin/fat remaining. Am I a good candidate for a revision? (photos)

I had a full tt w lipo and muscle repair 2 years ago. When standing I feel pretty satisfied, although when sitting I expected a more slim and tight look. I feel like I have a lot of xtra skin/fat remaining. Please let me know your opinion on whether I'm a good candidate for revision. And if so...which type of revision????? Thank you for your time.

Overall, your result looks good.  I agree that while standing, your outcome looks nice.  Even a very tight abdominoplasty will relax with time.  You may recall how tight your skin felt after your initial procedure.  A revision could certainly deliver a tighter abdomen.  However, this too would relax with time.  Even people who are quite fit demonstrate some skin excess while sitting.  I would recommend continuing your diet and exercise regimen.  Become as fit as you possibly can become.  If you choose to undergo a revision, you would certainly like for it to be your final revision.  Improvement is definitely possible.  Good luck!

To gain further improvement, a thorough liposuction of the abdomen, followed by additional tightening would be appropriate based on your photos.Skin has a remarkable ability to relax over time. Even though at your initial surgery, the skin was pulled as tightly as safely possible, there is always some relaxation over time. There are two points to consider. 1. What is left behind is more important than what is removed. 2. Any further surgery involves potential risk and the enemy of good is better.Good luck!

Thank you for your pictures. Your skin will have some looseness when you're in a sitting position. In a standing position your abdominal contour is good. You may benefit from a little Liposuction  of your abdominal wall to improve your results. Also keeping a stable weight would be helpful if that is an issue.

In my opinion no one can give you meaningful advice as to a particular procedure that may suit you best; you should be seen by your plastic surgeon for such.   There are many relevent variables - are you at your goal weight, what is your skin elasticity, etc.  Your best option may be weight loss, liposuction, revision abdominoplasty, or some combination of the three.

You actually have a very nice result from your tummy tuck. Only a safe amount of skin and fat can be removed at an initial TT.  I thinl at this point an aggressive and extended liposuction of abdomen and flank area will help you.  This is what I would recommend.  My Best,  Dr C

I think that you have a good result. It is not at all unusual after abdominoplasty to have a roll of skin and fat when seated. To discuss options for revision, you need to be seen by a plastic surgeon, who can estimate the elasticity of your skin and determine whether or not you would be a candidate for liposuction or further skin and fat excision.
