I’m 10 months postop closed rhinoplasty. I’m generally happy with it but now have an underprojected tip and wide alar. I want an alarplasty or revision to project the tip + make it less rounded. Tip is still swollen so it may become less rounded. I don’t mind the under projection as much as the tip shape and wide alar. My pre-nose was more projected which I preferred, I like long noses. What should I do? Would an alarplasty without fixing the tip be ok? Would just adding projection fix the alar?

Answer: You can achieve a beautiful nose tip with revision surgery.
Hi @DreamCatcher19. Piezosurgery is a more gentle technique that allows for greater precision. Less bruising and swelling is common with Piezosurgery. In a typical rhinoplasty, a hammer and chisel technique is performed leading to more inadvertent fractures.
