So after 6 months post tummy tuck i have puckering still . My doctor said that he can fix it but he’s not putting me under . He said that he will do it by just numbing the area . Is this normal procedure for fixing puckering ? Thank you

Answer: Yes it is normal to fix the scar under local anesthesia Yes it is normal to fix the scar under local anesthesia. I have done scar revisions under local anesthesia without having to put a patient under general anesthesia. This saves on operating room and anesthesia costs and is generally preferred by patients.
