Swelling varies from person to person, thought this seems to be more than usually seen. Here are some tips to minimize swelling next time: Stay away from medicines and vitamins that increase bruising for a few weeks prior to your injection. These include but not limited ot Vit E, Fish and Krill Oil, Omega 3 fatty acids, aspirin, alleive, ibuprofen, garlic oil, etc. A high Blood Pressure tends to cause more swelling and bruising in my experience.Cooling with ice (never directly on the skin), head elevation, Arnica, Bromelain and Advil after a few days will tend to help with swelling.
It is possible to have swelling as you have shown after fillers in the tear trough. Rest assured that the swelling will go away. I would consider a light steroid pill, medrol dose pack, for my patients if it is medically safe. Icing and elavation will help. I hope this helps.
Swelling can occur after injection of any dermal filler. Applying ice packs can help. If you have any concerns you should contact your physician's office.
The tear trough area in particular can swell and bruise more than other areas, and for longer. I've had a couple patients that really swelled up, while most don't swell all that much (but certainly more than say the cheeks or laugh lines). Best to ice, sleep on your back & on an extra pillow, and consider an antihistamine.

Thank you for your question. It sounds like the product has gotten too superficial. You may need to have some of the product dissolved. The product can work its way up and then become visible. Dissolving is an easy process. Just have an experienced injector do the procedure. I hope this helps!
