My I had a rhinoplasty where my tip got lifted. Since that day my laugh is not the same anymore and my teeth never show when I talk. Of course the doctor told me this will pass, but it never did. we are actually almost 5 years later and it did not get resolved. Is there a way to recover my upper lip mobility?

Rhinoplasty can affect surrounding facial structures to some degree. Sometimes the upper lip is released and drops down on its own. It’s usually considered a good thing esthetically.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your question it is not a common side affect of rhinoplasty surgery. However, It is difficult to make a proper evaluation. If you can provide photos from front of your face, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Although most surgeons still consider nose to lip distance to be a leading parametar for lip lift, it is actually a smile and teeth show. Resection of the orbicularis oris muscle underneath the nose is powerfull way to improve lip lift during the smile. You should discuss this issue with a board certified plastic surgeon familiar with this technique. Good luck.
