I spend all summer outside. What is the best sunscreen to use and the best hat to wear now that I have had mohs on my nose for basel cell?

Sunscreen needs to protect against both UVA and UVB.  You should choose a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 but realize that SPF is only a measure of UVB protection.  In order to ensure good UVA protection, make sure that your sunscreen has a UVA blocker such as avobenzone, titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide.  Zinc oxide is an excellent UVA and UVB blocker and is my preferred sunscreen ingredient.  Modern zinc oxide formulations are not too white and thick like the older versions.  I like the Solbar Zinc and Elta MD brands.
